DaunenStep: sustainability and clean energy

At DaunenStep, our commitment goes beyond producing high-quality bedding; we also want to make a difference for the environment and contribute to its protection. This commitment translates into concrete actions: we recently completed the installation of photovoltaic panels at our Auna di Sotto and Arco locations, a milestone we are particularly proud of.

The Arco project, in particular, was co-financed by European funds from the Autonomous Province of Trento.

Why did we choose photovoltaic panels?

The decision to adopt photovoltaic panels was not merely a technical or financial choice for us, but a true statement of intent and a commitment to sustainability. The choice to invest in solar energy stems from a range of considerations related to the environment, social responsibility, and economic efficiency.

1. Reducing CO2 emissions and combating climate change

    

Thanks to photovoltaic panels with a capacity of 115.28 Kwp, DaunenStep actively contributes to reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, a key objective in the fight against climate change. By harnessing the power of the sun, a clean and renewable source, we can minimize the environmental impact of our operations and promote a more sustainable energy model.


2. Energy efficiency and savings

    

The installation of photovoltaic panels not only reduces emissions but also increases the company's energy efficiency. Producing part of the energy we need internally makes us less dependent on traditional sources and allows us to reduce energy costs in the long term. This enables us to allocate resources to further sustainable projects and face the future with greater confidence.

3. Social responsibility and inspiring change

    

At DaunenStep, we firmly believe that sustainability is a shared responsibility. The installation of photovoltaic panels is part of our commitment to raising awareness among not only our employees and partners but also our customers toward more responsible consumption. The project was funded by the Province of Trento

An aspect that makes this project even more significant is the support received from the Province of Trento. The funding allowed DaunenStep to accelerate the adoption of renewable technologies, confirming the importance of synergies between public and private actors in the energy transition. Thanks to this support, we were able to build a state-of-the-art solar plant that will help us further reduce our environmental impact.
